The Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida had a complimentary opportunity to promote Collaborative Divorce at the recent “Jog for Justice” 5K race held in downtown Fort Myers on Sunday, November 13, 2016. We had a great morning wearing our Collaborative T-shirts and talking with participants and making our presence felt with other members of the local Bar and community. Our space at the race was in response to our relationship with Lee County Legal Aid. Members of our group recently provided a training for Legal Aid staff and lawyers. We are receiving referrals from Legal Aid for potential pro bono collaborative clients. And we are happy to announce that one of our members who ran the event placed first in her age group giving us additional picture and promotion opportunities.
When Collaborative Divorce Hits a Roadblock
Beginning the Collaborative Process with clients presents unique challenges. In particular, it’s difficult to predict whether clients will maintain an open mindset or adopt rigid stances.
