On Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from noon to 1 pm, Collaborative Professionals from around the world are invited to a very special live virtual presentation by Professor Jim Friedman, the UN Chief Steward for World Creativity & Innovation Week/Day (WCIW/D).
This one-hour interactive presentation, Creativity in Collaboration, will provide Collaborative Professionals with stories, ideas and inspiration about using the creative process to solve problems and disputes.
Creativity is key in Collaborative Divorce where outcomes are not based on rote legalese and positional bargaining but rather on the individual interests and specific needs of the couple and family involved. To achieve the win-win scenario envisioned by the Collaborative Process, creativity and innovation are a must.
In 2022, FACP & IACP members participated in World Creativity & Innovation Week (WCIW). This UN-observed event with the purpose of encouraging the use of creativity in solving problems. As a result of FACP/IACP events, four proclamations were received and people from around the world learned about Collaborative Divorce.
For 2023, Collaborative Practice Groups are encouraged to invite members of the public and observe WCIW in their regularly scheduled April Practice Group meetings.
Practice Groups will be provided with an edited 20-minute video from this January 18 presentation which is scheduled to happen during the regular time slot for the January FACP Practice Group Leader Meeting.
