FACP’s Practice Group Committee is pleased to present a Collaborative version of “Grand Rounds,” modeled after the medical teaching process.
We are inviting you and your practice group members to participate as presenters, and by submitting issues for future discussion, based on actual Collaborative family law cases. Each month, a different practice group will present on one of the submitted cases at a virtual lunch hour (12-1pm EST) meeting. Ideally, one attorney, one mental health professional and one financial professional will present for the first part of each session, with whole-group discussion thereafter.
Our Grand Rounds series will be held on the third Friday of each month. Please send an email to Brittany Staggs, the FACP Administrator, at (Brittany.staggs@collaborativepracticeflorida.com) and she will forward a monthly reminder to you for distribution to your practice group members. We welcome participation from FACP members and non-members alike. Registration information will be on the reminder/invitation from Brittany, who will be receiving the registrations and following up with a zoom link for all registered participants.

Presenting Practice Group: Brevard Collaborative Association
The presenters will be as follows:
Tiffany Crews Loris, Esq. – Tiffany is attorney in Viera, Brevard County, Florida and has been practicing family law since 2001 and collaborative divorce since 2006. She is also a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. Tiffany is a founding member of the Brevard Collaborative Association, and currently serves as its president.
Kristin Wallace, PhD, LMHC, NCC, MFT – Kristin is a certified child custody evaluator and certified forensic mental health evaluator with over a decade of experience. She is a collaboratively trained mental health professional and a founding member of the Brevard Collaborative Association.
Gina Gallo, CFP, CDFA – Gina has been a collaboratively trained financial professional since 2007 and has served as a financial neutral in numerous collaborative cases in Brevard County. She is an experienced expert in the areas of financial planning, investment management, and financial issues related to divorce. She is a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and a founding member of the Brevard Collaborative Association.
Presentation Topic: Unique Techniques for Creating Collaborative Cases. Discussion will include the following:
- The use of printed materials that provide potential clients with a comparison of the various process options for family law cases, including mediation, collaborative, and litigation, with a focus on the benefits of the collaborative process
- How to get clients to retain you before a process is chosen so you can assist in preventing litigation if possible
- Using fee agreements that allow for flexibility in the process to be chosen
- The importance of a quality website in promoting the collaborative process
- How these techniques have benefited the growth of the collaborative process
